People Helping People

People helping people is the principle on which our law firm operates.
What does that mean?
It means that every day of the week someone encounters a situation in which they need some assistance. This can take the form of legal representation or the simple task of answering a question. The matters in which I deal can change from day to day—even hour to hour.
With the recent economic troubles, many of the calls I deal with have to do with individuals seeking to have their criminal records cleared. Recently, a client called concerned about his inability to obtain a job due to a criminal charge appearing on his background check. He advised me that this same scenario happened over and over again. The interview would go smoothly but a few days later he would be notified that due to his background check he would not be hired. It came to my client’s attention that a charge he had received eight years ago was appearing on his criminal record even though that charge had been dismissed eight years ago.
"We were able to assist my client in filing a
Petition with the Courts to have the dismissed
charge expunged from his criminal record."
After determining the problem, we were able to assist my client in filing a Petition with the Courts to have the dismissed charge expunged from his criminal record, including criminal records kept at the Courthouse and Police records. Shortly after this expungement, my client was able to gain employment.
This is just one example of our law firm helping people. Our law firm practices several different areas of the law and we are ready, willing and able to assist you with your legal needs.
Richard Ratajczak handles a wide variety of law: personal injury, criminal matters, some corporate and estate work. He is the only one, however, who practices immigration law. As the competition for jobs has increased, he’s increasingly called on for the expungment of court records. |
